5 Free Things To Do in Seville

One of the things I always research before travel is what we can do for free. It seems silly but we usually travel on a budget and a little research can save you a lot of money and make you come back home with some money in your pocket.

Seville is a beautiful city in the south of Spain. Seville is basically the postcard from Andalucia and, therefore, is not the cheapest city. Seville is dance, rhythm, and warm and you will surely have a lot to do but with our tips, you will see a lot of this beautiful city and culture without spending a cent.

Plaza de España

One of the most beautiful places I ever saw. Take at least an hour to really see this place. No rush. Just enjoy the details, go upstairs, and search every little corner.

Flamenco Show

Usually, these shows are paid and normally they are not cheap. One alternative is to watch a Flamenco show in Plaza de España. The dancers and musicians are amazing - and probably the ones you will pay to see in other places. It isn't mandatory but I strongly suggest you to tip after the show because everyone likes to see their work recognized.

Museo Militar Regional in Plaza de España

Located in Plaza de España, this place has a great collection of flags, documents, and military items. I'm not a great fan of military history but I really liked visiting this place.

Beware when you plan your trip that this Museum is only open until 2pm and it is closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Spanish national holidays. You can get more information here

Archivo de las Indias

Well, I must confess that I only get in because it was hot as hell in the street! I had no idea what this place was but it was free and had air condition so was fine by me.

It wasn't is originally propose but it was converted by Carlos III as a place to keep all documents regarding Spanish possessions overseas. The building only by itself is impressive and because it's made of stone is really fresh in the summer (believe me, this is really important in the Super Hot City of Seville).

Here you can get more information about opening day and schedule.

Parque Maria Luisa

Just in front of Plaza de España, Maria Luisa's Park is like the Central Park of Seville. With 34 hectares this place is a treasure of flora, fountains, and magical places. Just get lost and fall in love with it. More information here
